Children's products exported to the United States should pay close attention to the lead content indicators

Recently, the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States issued a message that in the fiscal year 2012, from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012, the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States and the United States Customs and Border Protection cooperated to intercept about 5 million illegal or dangerous consumer goods into the United States market, involving children's products, lamps, lighters, fireworks, bicycle helmets, hair dryers, electric aquarium equipment, electric fans Iron and portable electric lamp, etc.

Among these intercepted products, 356 kinds of children's products violated safety regulations, including 222 kinds with excessive lead content. The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States limits the lead content of furniture, toys and other children's products. It requires that the lead content of children's accessible parts should not exceed 100 ppm, and the lead content of paint and similar surface coatings should not exceed 90 ppm. Therefore, relevant departments of Suntech Testing remind relevant export enterprises that the lead content of raw materials and paints must be paid close attention to when exporting American children's products.
